Weed & Pot Club
Every Wednesday
8:30 - 10:30 AM
MNBG's volunteer group, the Weed & Pot Club meets every Wednesday to help beautify & maintain the Garden. Activities vary, but generally involve weeding, raking, trimming or transplanting nursery plants plus preparing for special events (Earth Day, Arbor Day, & plant sales). Workshops are also presented several times a year as a mahalo to our volunteers. Tools, gloves & drinking water are provided, bring sunscreen & wear tennis shoes. Come help us beautify the Gardens!

Hawaiian Plant Sale

Mark your calendar for our Hawaiian plant sale of August 2008! We'll have great native Hawaiian & Polynesian-introduced ground covers, shrubs & trees for sale and our wonderful experts will also be here to help you select the right plants for your location.

2008 Arbor Day Tree Give-Away
Saturday, November 8th
9:00 am - 12:00 noon
The 2008 ARBOR DAY TREE GIVE-AWAY is planned for 9:00 am - 12:00 noon. National Arbor Day is held in the spring, but in Hawai'i Arbor Day is celebrated in November to take advantage of winter rains. This event distributes 1,000 free Hawaiian trees to Maui County residents each year on the first SATURDAY in November. There will be educational booths, free water saving devices and plant care demonstrations. Visit our "Ask the Expert!" booth for advice on the perfect tree. Take a self-guided tour of the garden and rest in the shade under beautiful Hawaiian trees. Free parking and free admission.
